NEC Electronics Europe presents next K_Line generation at the Embedded World 2005

Accompanying tool chain sets new standards in the MCU market

DUESSELDORF, Germany — 08 Feb 2005

NEC Electronics Europe today announced that it will present the next generation of the popular K_Line microcontrollers at the Embedded World 2005 from February 22 through 24 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. The K_Line offers exceptional advantages such as scalability, performance and a rich feature set. On top of this, the new devices will provide a Flash portfolio unprecedented in price and completeness. Accompanied by a development tool chain starting at 219 euros for a full-featured in-circuit emulator, including a 4-Kbyte version of the IAR Embedded Workbench, this sets new standards in the MCU market.

The company will also exhibit a wide range of other topics such as Structured ASICs (ISSP) and ARM®-based System-on-Chip innovations, with on-the-spot expert consultation. In the field of automotive applications, demonstrations of FlexRay solutions and the new D_Line microcontroller line will be on display. Then there is the latest in industrial TFT LCD technology, presenting NEC’s superfine technology and natural light technology. Other products featured in demonstrations and displays at the booth will include solutions for motor control and building management.

Over and above, the ‘Pb-free zone’ at NEC Electronics’ booth #348 in Hall 12 offers information on imminent RoHS environmental regulations and their implications for Pb-free devices.
