Microcontroller

Key topics at the NEC Electronics booth will be the latest derivates of our 8-bit und 32-bit lines. For general purpose applications our new K_Line, H_Line, I_Line, and J_Line will be on show and for automotive applications you can receive the latest information about F_Line, S_Line and D_Line.

Special highlights will be V850 All Flash, the world's smallest microcontroller and FlexRay silicon.

ARM-based SoCs / ASICs

NEC Electronics' presents its customizable ARM7TDMI-based MCU product, System-on-Chip Lite+. On the basis of the System-on-Chip Lite+ development tools, the implementation of a Colour LCD controller and a PWM / motor control function block will be demonstrated. Moreover, several real-time operating systems for System-on-Chip Lite+ will be demonstrated; this covers for example "embOS" from Segger and µClinux. Besides this, we will show other ARM9-based development platforms and of course, we will also be a competent addressee for all questions related to ASIC and SoC solutions. Besides Structured ASICs, other highlights at the ASIC/SoC stand will be the extremely small outline Tape Fine-Pitch BGA (TFPBGA) packages with edge lengths starting from only 4.38mm, that are now available for the gate array technologies of NEC Electronics.

Displays

This year we'll demonstrate our unique Natural Light Technology (NLT-TFT) in comparison to our conventional high brightness TFT modules. You will see displays from 6.5, 8.4 and 15 inch, lined up on a dedicated counter and with the focus on deployment in industrial environments.

WEEE/RoHS compliance by July 2006 is a must for almost everyone in the electronics industry. The deadline is very close now and NEC Electronics is already delivering WEEE/RoHS-compliant products to its customers.
