The IPs required for the development of software, such as for CPUs and DSPs, and the integration of advanced IPs as part of driver development both add value to the developed sets. On the other hand, these factors also make the design for system LSI (SoC) more difficult. When sets are developed by customers, wide-variety support and shorter life cycles become more urgent, so ways must be found to reduce development costs and shorten lead time without sacrificing design quality.

To help customers resolve these difficulties, NEC Electronics provides the ARM926EJ-S / ARM946E-S MICROSSP system LSI design platform, which can be used for verification of actual chip level functions. When customers use MICROSSP for prototype development, they are able to quickly check both hardware and software functions to speed up the quality improvement process while also cutting additional development costs and shortening development lead time.
