Support

NEC provides the customers local support with a wide spectrum of expertise in Europe:

  • Local ASIC Design Centers (LDC)
  • European Technology Center (ETC)
    • Central ASIC CAD Support
    • Macro Development
  • Technical Product Support (TPS)

Local ASIC Design Centers (LDC)

Your best bet is to talk to one of NEC's five local design centers - the project manager, we hand-pick, according to your ASIC needs, always has an open ear and pulls all the strings for you: technology and know-how, documentation and design support.
And it's "your" flexible project manager who visits you - a design expert with all the competence and authorization and direct access to all specialized support infrastructure within NEC. No matter which level of support you expect - either for an OpenCAD™ installation or scan insertion into your design - your assigned project manager will let you have the necessary assistance. In fact, you will get help to ensure the most aggressive times to market.

European Technology Center (ETC)

We have our own back-end ASIC CAD support for many years. Our well working CAD support strategy is our recipe for overall customer satisfaction. As an ongoing process NEC enhances the existing tools and develops new design flows in close co-operation with leading EDA-vendors like Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, Cadence and Avanti to further reduce the time to market for your product. In addition the CAD group can offer special services like circuit optimization, testlogic insertion and trial layout to smoothen the overall ASIC development process.

Technical Product Support (TPS)

NEC`s technical product support teams for microcontroller/-processor products and for digital signal processors deliver deeper know-how for ASIC core applications. In this high-tech era you could easily get the impression that all those products are made entirely on automated production lines without any human intervention.
