Providing devices to control and manage power, reduce engine load and prevent ESD damage

The new SmartMOS product family is mainly designed for body control module and for applications such as lamp lighting, injector or solenoid drive. On these applications mechanical switches or relays conventionally used to control these equipments have been replaced by semiconductors to enable smaller and lighter electronic control units (ECU) with improved on/off control and high reliability. The logic control function limits rapid fluctuations of the output current to reduce electromagnetic noises and improve ECUs performances. IPDs are often equipped with a current sense function giving an accurate picture of the output current flow during normal operation and diagnosing overcurrent or overtemperature problems.
